Overview

The 4SD10/28 is a 4" stainless steel multistage submersible borehole pump from the Vega 4SD10 range (nominal flow around 10 m³/h), delivering heads of up to 189m and flows up to 14.4 m³/h. Choose a complete set for your power supply, or just the pump end if you are replacing a worn one.

Available options:

  • 380V 3-phase set + Y1 controller: 4SD10/28 pump end + 5.5kW 380V three-phase oil-filled motor + Y1 digital protection controller
  • 525V 3-phase set + VSD: 4SD10/28 pump end + 5.5kW 525V three-phase oil-filled motor + variable speed drive (VSD)
  • Pump end only (no motor): 4SD10/28 pump end (wet end) only – for replacing a worn pump end on an existing 5.5kW motor
  • Motor power: 5.5kW
  • Pump diameter: 4" – fits boreholes with an internal diameter of 100mm or more
  • Stainless steel pump body and shaft

Choosing the right pump: add the depth to your borehole’s water level, the height up to your tank and about 10% for pipe friction – that’s your total head. Pick a pump whose head at the flow you need is higher than that total. Not sure of your water level or which pump fits? Contact us with your borehole details before ordering.

Which controller? The analogue box is the basic starter; the 20Y adds dry-run protection (recommended for low-yield boreholes); three-phase sets come with the Y1 protection controller. See all Borehole Controllers.
