SP30-24 (VP32A-24) 6″ Borehole Pump 22kW – 276m Max Head

The SP30-24 (VP32A-24) is a 6" stainless steel multistage submersible borehole pump from the SP30 range (nominal flow around 30 m³/h), delivering heads of up to 276m and flows up to 42 m³/h. It runs on a three-phase supply (380V or 525V). Choose a complete set, or just the pump end if you are replacing a worn one.

At a glance: delivers about 24 m³/h (24 000 litres per hour) at 231m head. Best for large-scale irrigation, farms, community and municipal water schemes and mining, where the borehole can deliver high volumes.

• Pump end only (no motor): SP30-24 pump end (wet end) only – to replace a worn pump end on an existing 22kW 6" motor

Performance Table:

Choosing the right pump: add the depth to your borehole’s pumping water level, the height up to your tank or reservoir and about 10% for pipe friction – that’s your total head. Pick a pump whose head at the flow you need is higher than that total. Your borehole must also be able to deliver that flow – ask your driller for the yield-test result, otherwise the pump can run the borehole dry. Not sure which pump fits? Oil-filled or water-filled motor? Both drive the pump in the same way. Oil-filled motors are sealed units (rated 25 bar). Water-filled motors (rated 35 bar) can usually be rewound if they burn out, which normally makes repairs cheaper on bigger motors.

Which controller? 380V sets up to 15kW come with the 30Y intelligent pump controller; 18.5–30kW sets come with the heavier 30A controller. 525V sets are supplied without a starter – your electrician must fit a suitable starter panel or VSD. See all Borehole Controllers.
